Land and Lot Clearing

Overgrown, Wooded, and Unused Land Cleared the Right Way

Most land clearing jobs start with a simple frustration. There is part of the property you own, pay for, and maybe even trim the edges of, but never actually get to use. Sometimes it is a strip behind the shed. Sometimes it is an acre of woods that came with the house.

Trust Planet Tree Service provides land clearing, lot clearing, and tree clearing services for homeowners, builders, and property owners throughout Horsham, Bucks County, and Montgomery County. We take out the brush, the undergrowth, and the trees that need to go. Then we haul all of it off the property, leaving the ground open and ready for its next use.

Overgrown Backyards

Overgrown Backyards

The back third of the yard has turned into brush and saplings. We clear it back to open ground so the whole property works again.

How We Clear It

Land clearing is not one service. Taking a wooded lot down to bare ground and thinning out a tangled back acre are very different jobs, with different costs and very different results. Here is how each one works.

Stumps Somebody Else Left

Full Clearing

Trees, brush, and undergrowth removed from the entire work area and hauled away. The right choice for building sites, driveways, and anything that needs open ground. Grading and leveling are available once the site is clear.

Deadwood and Crowded Canopies

Selective Clearing

We remove the undergrowth, dead trees, and weaker growth while keeping the healthy trees you want. The property opens up without losing a mature look that takes decades to grow back.

Straight Felling

Brush and Undergrowth Clearing

When the trees are fine and the problem is everything growing beneath them, brush clearing opens up the ground without touching the canopy.

What Your Land Clearing Estimate Covers

What the Price Includes

Clearing the agreed area to the agreed finish, removing every tree, shrub, and vine that is part of the scope, and hauling all of it off your property. The work area is cleaned up before the crew leaves. The price covers the whole job, not just the cutting.

What Stays and What Goes

Clearing is hard to undo. A mature tree taken down by mistake is gone for decades. That is why the edges of the work area and the trees worth keeping are agreed on before anyone starts cutting.

Where the Material Goes

A cleared acre produces a surprising amount of material. All of it is hauled off the property. You are not left with brush piles along the edge of the lot or stacks of logs to deal with later.

Grading and Leveling

Clearing opens the ground, but it does not always leave it ready to use. If your plans call for a level surface, we handle grading and leveling too, so you do not need to bring in a second contractor. We will tell you at the estimate whether your ground needs it.

Land Clearing FAQs

How much does land clearing cost?

There is no honest flat rate per acre, because no two acres are the same. The density of the growth, the size of the trees, whether you want full or selective clearing, how easy the area is to reach, the condition of the ground, and how much material has to be hauled away all shape the price. A half acre of light brush and a half acre of mature woods are completely different jobs. That is why every estimate is done on site.

How do I choose between land clearing contractors?

Price should be the last thing you compare, not the first. Two land clearing companies can quote the same acre very differently because one is hauling everything away and the other is leaving the debris for you. Line up the scope first: the area being cleared, the finish, what stays, what leaves, and whether grading is part of it. Once those match, the difference in price usually explains itself.

Will my land be ready to build on after clearing?

Clearing and grading get the ground open and level, which is the stage most projects need before anything else can happen. What comes after that, such as excavation, foundations, utilities, and drainage, is typically handled by your builder or site contractor. If you tell us what is being built and who is building it, we can clear and grade the site to match what they need.

Will the brush and trees grow back after clearing?

It depends on what was growing there. In Bucks and Montgomery County, a lot of overgrown property is full of aggressive invasive plants like multiflora rose, autumn olive, and Japanese knotweed, and these are known for coming back. Native hardwoods and lighter brush are usually easier to keep under control. We can tell you at the estimate what is growing on your land and what to expect afterward.

Will heavy equipment damage the rest of my property?

Equipment has to reach the work area somehow, so the route in is planned before the job is scheduled. We decide where the trucks load, which path the equipment takes, and how to protect the lawn, driveway, and landscaping outside the clearing zone. Ground conditions matter too. Very wet or soft ground can rut easily, and sometimes the right answer is waiting for better conditions. We are also fully licensed and insured.

Do you take on small clearing jobs, or only large lots?

Both. We clear everything from a narrow strip behind a shed to wooded lots and building sites. There is no minimum job size, and a small section of backyard gets the same planning as a larger property. If you are not sure whether your project is worth a call, it probably is.

Ready to Use All of Your Property?

You do not need to know whether your land needs full clearing, selective clearing, or just the brush taken out. We figure that out together on site. Tell us where the property is and what you want it to become, and we will set up a time to walk it with you.
